VIETFARM PILOTING HIGH VALUE OF SON LA COFFEE PRODUCTS THROUGH PROCESSING.

Noong Lao Village Agricultural Service Cooperative and Na San Plateau Sustainable Development Cooperative – Pilot to improve the value of Son La coffee products through processing.

 

In arid lands, farmers all year round sell their faces to the land, their backs to the sky, the more they need help. They are hard-working and honest, always trying their best to live in their own homeland.

 

Noong Lao village, Chieng Pha commune, Thuan Chau, Son La and Na San plateau are one of those lands that, despite many difficulties, always make unremitting efforts.

 

In order to improve the value of coffee products through processing, VietFarm cooperated with Mr. Vo Khanh – Director of Cau Dat Xuan Truong Coffee and Agricultural Trade Service Cooperative to organize a training course on processing techniques. Wet treatment and treatment of wastewater after wet processing for members of Noong Lao Cooperative and Na San Plateau Sustainable Development Cooperative.

 

For Noong Lao Cooperative, this is the first time they have been able to process wet coffee. Moreover, Na San cooperative group also adjusted a number of techniques during wet processing, making coffee more fragrant, greasy, light and bearing the flavor of Son La mountains. The fruit picking must be over 90% ripe, the way to dry the coffee on the rig and double the pile of coffee after 5-7 days of cultivation to ensure the best coffee quality and help improve the value of the coffee here. Preliminary coffee moisture testing by experience and wastewater treatment as well as water reuse after wet processing… Members of the two groups also exchanged many experiences on growing and caring for coffee. The trainees were very excited to participate in the training session and assessed that they could apply a lot of knowledge in their production process.



Noong Lao and Na San also cooperated with Green Fair, and CDI signed a commitment to comply with Vietfarm coffee production standards. In 2018, it is expected that the two groups will produce and process roasted and ground coffee products that meet VietFarm standards, in order to bring higher results and profits.

VietFarm hopes that, in all parts of the country, it is possible to support farmers with the most appropriate and modern processing and cultivation methods and techniques to improve people’s income. The happiness of farmers is the happiness of VietFarm.
